THE IMPACT OF GLOBALIZATION ON THE FORMATION OF UNIVERSAL VALUES: SOCIAL AND PHILOSOPHICAL CONTEXT
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The author considers the impact of globalization processes on the formation of universal (common to humanity) values. The conclusion is formulated that modern civilization is experiencing a crisis of basic values, while, on the one hand, values are changing in response to globalization processes, on the other hand, established values a ect the prospects of globalization. It is noted that the most profound transformation of value systems can be clearly traced in individual countries and regions that, being engulfed by social and political upheavals, are experiencing an identity crisis. Based on a comparative analysis of global universal and traditional values of Russian society, it has been demonstrated that the formation of universal values common to humanity is possible in the context of one’s own national history; global solidarity of citizens is possible when cultural and value orientations are closely intertwined with the principles of global justice, on the one hand, and national cultural heritage, on the other.
